...my eyes gazing upon the blue with pink tinged sunset and white clouds sky. In this moment, the earth is cool and quiet excepting the birds and munching sounds of Sarah, my horse, eating grass near me. I feel deeply grateful for the pulsing life that is palpable even in these still few moments. Nothing is really still and yet it all feels very motion free. I see the clouds shifting and the sun setting changing the colors of the sky beautiful pink and orange hues. I can see Sarah in my peripheral vision munching and walking along the grass, I hear birds calling and the wind waving the trees branches. Life happening in a very calm, still and lovely way."
I've taken to sitting or lying down next to my horse, Sarah, when I am walking her out to her field for the evening. On our way to her field the grass is lovely right now and the temperatures are just so nice out this almost fall season!
I love being in Sarah's company. It calms me. I have her on a lead rope that I lightly hold so she cannot just begin to roam anywhere. I only have to hold the lead rope gently in one hand as I lay myself in the grass and she munches grass in a perimeter that her lead will allow around me in a circular motion. At some point, I close my eyes and just sink into the earth. I smell, hear and feel. Sarah munches close to me and then nuzzles her nose into my side, it tickles! I open my eyes and she is right beside me, her kind eye looking at my face and I feel like she is saying hi friend. In that moment I understand, I feel the oneness of all creation!
"They see the Self in every creature and all creation in the Self. With consciousness unified through meditation, they see everything with an equal eye.
I am ever present to those who have realized me in every creature. Seeing all life as my manifestation, they are never separated from me. " From the Bhagavad Gita chapter 6 The practice of meditation - Krishna to Arjuna verses 29 - 30
This is one form of meditation. I feel so blessed to be able to seize some moments to just lie down, breathe and exist.

"The eyes of all look to you, and you give them their food at the proper time. You open your hand and satisfy the desires of Every Living Thing." Psalm 145: 15-16
